AKA NSW’s primary function is the administration of the sport of go karting.

The Association is made up of the various go kart clubs throughout NSW, each club having a single representative on what is known as the State Karting Council (SKC)

The SKC’s mission is the fostering, promotion and growth of karting in NSW.

Karting is the first step in motor sport; it is the training ground for our future motor sport stars. Karting can provide a linear path through to the pinnacle of motor sport, Formula One. Most Formula One drivers began their journey through karting.

It is the aim of AKA NSW to foster this journey and also promote the sport as a family sport. Karting has the ability to be a lifelong sport, it can be fun but it is always competitive.

Karting is one of the few sports where there is no competitive difference between male, female, young and old. Everybody can compete against anyone within their class structure. There are classes for 7 years old up, fast to slow, sprint karting to endurance, two stroke to four stroke. To put it simply karting is for everyone whether it be competitor or official, administration, or helper at Club to State level. Whatever your desire within motor sport it can be achieved through karting.

Come and be a part of this sport, the future of motor sport.

It’s for everyone.
